SUSAN SCHUPPLI is an artist and cultural theorist whose work explores the latent potential of machines to short-circuit normative understandings of media objects and their received social, cultural, and political encodings. She is currently working on an installation for the Whitney Museum of American Art ISP exhibition at The Kitchen in New York. She received her MFA from the University of California San Diego and is completing her doctoral research in Cultural Studies and Research Architecture at Goldsmiths. Her dissertation Preemptive Entanglements performs a triangulation between a series of case studies that rethink media ontologies through a method of machinic entanglement.
